In honor of Women’s History Month, we are excited to welcome author Janis Robinson Daly. She will be presenting, “An Examination of Family History: How the secrets of our past can surprise, delight, educate, and inspire the writing of a novel.” Daly will also lead a discussion of The Unlocked Path, which explores women's rights, women's health issues, and parallels from our past to our present.

Discovery that her great-great grandfather was a founder of the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania inspired Janis Robinson Daly's next career direction: unearthing the stories of women whose lives have remained in the shadows. Her debut novel, The Unlocked Path, balances authenticity and rich historical detail with deep emotional connections to create engaging fictional characters. A life-long summer resident of Cape Cod, Daly, her husband and rescue pup, now split their time between Barnstable Village and Florida.

The book is available at many Cape libraries within the CLAMS network. Titcomb's in Sandwich and The Brewster Bookstore have a couple of signed copies. Or, you can purchase the Kindle, Audible or paperback version from Amazon. If you’d like a signed copy directly from Janis, the paperback is $25 and includes taxes and shipping. You may contact Janis through her website. Contact | Janis Daly (janisrdaly.com)
