COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Eric Clark

Meet Eric Clark, a CWC Board Member, acupuncturist, and massage therapist.


As a longtime advocate for alternative integrative wellness practices, Eric's involvement with CWC was a match made in heaven. Eric uses his extensive training in acupuncture and massage therapy from leading educational institutions and his dedication to our local community to care for those facing cancer as a CWC practitioner. Further, his wealth of knowledge on and passion for acupuncture and the benefits of the wellness treatment for cancer patients makes him a true resource to our clients, community, and team.

Eric attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a master's degree in Mathematics Education in 1999. At this time he began teaching in South Windsor Connecticut and remained there until moving to Cape Cod in July 2009. During his tenure at SWHS, Eric also earned a second master's degree in Educational technology.


Though he enjoyed teaching and loved working with people, Eric felt his energy being drawn elsewhere and knew it was time to find his true calling. It was this search for inner harmony and a balanced body, mind, and spirit; that led Eric to his current path. In the spirit of self-exploration he received his first degree Reiki attunement. This turned out to be a much-needed catalyst with such a profound effect, that shortly after he began schooling at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT).


Eric graduated from massage school in August of 2008, and began a small home-based, part-time massage practice in CT in conjunction with finishing out his last year at SWHS. In June 2009, he completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification through Samadhi Yoga Studio, in Manchester, CT. Eric is currently working on his 500-hour teacher training with Yoganand Michael Carroll of Pranakryia Yoga. Eric has studied with Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, Tias Little, and Sarah Powers, as well as some of Boston and Cape Cod’s best and brightest teachers. In the summer of 2009 Eric completed a training in Nuad Bo Rarn (traditional Thai massage) and in September of the same year, became certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In 2010, Eric went on to receive his second degree Reiki attunement and also made the decision to enroll in the Master’s degree program at the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA).


Eric graduated with honors from NESA in August of 2013. He is a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture with the NCCAOM and is currently licensed to practice acupuncture in Massachusetts. He recently finished a two year Clinical Integration program with Lonny S. Jarrett. This program is an in-depth study of 5-Element Acupuncture with a special focus on Constitution Diagnosis and Pulse work. Eric has also studied Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture with both Michelle Gellis and Virginia Doran and begun to implement FRA (Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture) into his practice. He is currently continuing his education by studying Orthopedic Acupuncture as well as completing his second year in the Boston School of Herbal Studies program in Western/Eastern edible and medicinal herbs.


Eric is also a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Robert Paul Properties.
