Write Away: Writing Prompts for Those Touched by Cancer
Guided by Louisa Stringer, who herself loves using writing as a doorway to nourishment in her own cancer experience we share with you.
We are all writers! We all use words to guide our thoughts. And sometimes we write them down. Utilizing creative outlets is a helpful tool in feeling better during our cancer experience. So start the week off write! Join us on any Tuesday at 10am, for as long as it feels “write”!
A day after canceling upcoming performances due to concerns around the coronavirus, the Metropolitan Opera announced that it would stream encore presentations from the award-winning Live in HD series of cinema transmissions on the company website for the duration of the closure.
All “Nightly Met Opera Streams” will begin at 7:30 PMT and will remain available via the homepage of metopera.org for 23 hours.
The Seattle Symphony is continuing to share performances that provide strength, comfort and joy. The musicians of the Seattle Symphony have generously volunteered to share free broadcasts with everyone during this time of uncertainty. All broadcasts can be streamed through the Symphony’s social media channels on YouTube and Facebook.
The Silkroad collective has come together to develop a virtual concert mini-series in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Silkroad artists will be sharing short, musical performances live on Facebook and Instagram — bringing music of comfort and joy directly from their homes into theirs. Join in for an online watch party with friends and strangers from all corners of the world.
