DEVELOPMENT + ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

At Cape Wellness Collaborative (CWC), we help people on Cape Cod and the Islands facing cancer feel better through free-of-charge integrative therapies, nourishing meals, and emotional support. Founded by local musician Sarah Swain, CWC is a growing nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort, connection, and hope to our community. We are presently serving about 1,100 people on the Cape and Islands. The ethos of CWC is whole-person-centered, rooted in compassion, care, and integrity, and is driven by a genuine desire to help others and make our little corner of the world a better, more joyful place.

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled, relationship-driven Development and Engagement Manager to lead fundraising, donor and volunteer engagement, marcomms, and signature events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves building meaningful connections, creating memorable experiences, and helping a mission-driven organization grow its budget and impact.

This hybrid position is based in the Mid-Cape area and includes local travel. 

 

What You'll Do

• Build and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.

• Plan and lead successful fundraising events from concept through execution.

• Oversee marketing, communications, storytelling, and digital engagement.

• Track fundraising performance, manage budgets, and prepare reports.

• Help grow volunteer engagement and support the expansion of CWC's impact.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, sales, community engagement, or a related field.

• Marketing and communications expertise or experience.

• Proven success cultivating donor or client relationships and managing events.

• Excellent organization and project management skills.

• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire volunteers and work across teams.

• Experience with CRM and fundraising platforms (Neon, OneCause, or similar) and standard office software.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regional travel.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

 

Bonus if you have: grant writing experience, corporate sponsorship development, knowledge of health and wellness, and/or strong connections to Cape Cod and the Islands.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $70,000–$80,000
