Hosted by Cape Cod Community Rowing
Learn a new sport while being part of a group supporting each other, and discover
strength you didn’t know you had!
Choose one of two sessions on Long Pond, Harwich:

​Session 1: June 2026:​
June 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd & 24th (back-up date on the 26th) - 5 spots ​
Time: 8:45AM-10AM
​
Session 2: July 2026:
July 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th and 22nd (back-up date on the 24th) - 5 spots
Time: 7:45AM-9AM

Join us for a fun and safe learn-to-row program for people who have been affected by cancer.
No experience necessary!
Program Details:

5-day fun rowing program - scheduled every other day

Designed for beginners

Single passenger boats
-
Focus on balance and building core & leg strength

COST: $85 on CWC Wellness Card for all 5 days ($17/per session)
Participant Requirements

Doctor’s permission: able to get down on the ground and back up again

US Rowing annual membership ($10) - CWC will cover this cost once registered

ROWING TO RECOVERY | LAKE WEQUAQUET, CENTERVILLE
Hosted by All Cape Rowing
Rowing to Recovery offers structured instruction in rowing mechanics, proper body positioning, and technique, all guided by certified US Rowing, Inc. trainers. In late spring, participants take to the water, learning to row in single sculls, as well as doubles. This season, the group will row on Lake Wequaquet in Centerville.

Program Details:

Indoor sessions: Mondays & Wednesdays, 8:30–9:30 AM
Location: Private residence in Centerville
Learn the basics in a safe, supportive indoor setting -
Costs: Free

Outdoor sessions:
-
Weekdays starting at 7:30 AM (once the water warms up - likely in June)

Location: Lake Wequaquet, Centerville
Get out on the water and apply the skills you’ve learned! -
Cost: $25 per outdoor session, covered through your CWC Wellness Card funds.

Participant Requirements:

US Rowing annual membership ($25) - not covered by CWC

Basic swimming ability

Sheila lives with incurable and advanced cancer; like many of the participants in Rowing to Recovery, she represents the strength and ability that can come from living a purposeful life while living with a terminal illness. She models what the program embodies and encourages people to embrace life through mindfulness, meditation, and a holistic practice.
